Takoma Park Rehab- Done!

We finished this house at the end of the last week and it looks amazing. We have had tons of interest already and hopefully should see some offers by the end of the week. I'm really proud of how this house turned out. The hardwood floors look amazing. It's even more noteworthy because they had been covered for decades.

Things at Gorman Property Group, LLC have been really busy. We just completed finishing a basement for a client in Capitol Hill, and we're beginning Monday on a full renovation of a townhouse in Manassas. I will put up pictures as soon as possible.

Here's the view from the street. We added the covered front porch, which added a ton of curb appeal, and helps the house to fit in with the architecture of the rest of the block.

Here's the view upon entering the front door. We took out the wall in front of the kitchen, which did wonders to open up the space.

Here's the new kitchen. We used a new color of Maple cabinets, which really works well with the granite color that I've grown fond of using in our rehabs.

I think this is the best room in the house. Before, it was a deteriorated room that was a few steps down from the rest of the house and pretty much a waste of space. Now, the soaring ceilings and huge sliding doors make it a great breakfast room or sitting room. The doors we reused from the eastern shore project renovation.

This is the sunroom from the exterior. We also added a huge deck.

This view of the kitchen gives a better detail of the tilework.

Here's one of the two basement bedrooms.

Another view of the new basement, which now has two bedrooms and a full bath.

Here's the master bedroom.

Recognize this bath? I used the same tile design for the bathrooms at Quackenbos. I like variety but we had a ton of the glass tile left over so I decided to use it again.
